bio Stunt Coordinator- Stuntman - Actor

There has never been a day in Chick Bernhard's life that he didn't know what he wanted to do.  When asked in second grade what he wanted to do when he grew up, he responded without hesitation, "I'm going to be a stuntman!"

Years later he invited that teacher to the set of "Miami Vice" to see him do just that.

Born into a family with showbiz roots going back five generations, Chick cut his acting teeth as a child working on television programs such as "Flipper", "Gentle Ben" and "The Jackie Gleason Show".  He continued acting on TV and commercials throughout his teens but his real passion was to follow in the footsteps of his namesake, stuntman grandfather, Chick Yelton.

Chick honed his talents while waiting for his break racing motorcycles, destroying rental cars (don't try this at home, kids!) and frequenting the ER.

He finally got his break into the stunt world the first season of "Miami Vice".  Chick has gone on to have a prolific career in feature films, television, commercials and music videos.  His chameleon like quality has allowed him to double such diverse actors as Jack Nicholson, Richard Dreyfus, U2 singer Bono, Kenneth Branagh, Andy Garcia and Tom Cruise.

Chick has established himself as one of the premier boatmen in the industry; inventing ramp designs and using his uncanny sense of physics to coordinate and execute fantastic boat stunts.

This Miami native still calls South Florida home base while traveling and working on location.
